8:30 P.M. - On the women's side, the final score was JCU 120, Hiram College 106. On the men's side, the finish was just as close, with JCU 112, Hiram College 106. This is JCU's last home meet of the season.
8:27 P.M. - In the end, it was the 200 Yard Freestyle Relays that made all the difference. Hiram's Katie Piedomenico, Gillian Millwood, Ashlynn Krohn and Amy Kocka combined to win the women's relay with a time of 1:47.15. JCU was right behind, with Andrea Kovacs, Liana Sved, Heidi Benson and Lindsay Pickut finishing with a time of 1:49.03. On the men's side, both the JCU "A" and "B" relay teams finished with a 1-2 punch. Alex Vershchagin, Nick Grady, Eric Davis and Tony Russo all worked together for first place, with a time of 1:33.46.
8:23 P.M. - With just a relay left for the men and the women, here is an update on the team standings. For the men, Hiram College is leading, 106 to 97. For the women, JCU is leading 116 to 97.
8:21 P.M. - Once again, the name Travis Subda is at the top of the list. Hiram's Subda won the Men's 200 Yard Breaststroke, with a time of 2:19.18. JCU's Andy Petraska was the closest Blue Streak to Subda, finishing third with a time of 2:35.83.
8:17 P.M. - With all the diving events completed, that leaves just four events left this evening in University Heights. The last "first" event is the Women's 200 Yard Breaststroke. Winner of this event was Hiram College's Brittany Cowden with a time of 2:41.05. The closest JCU swimmer was Emma Atkinson, who finished with a time of 2:42.07 for a second place finish.
8:08 P.M. - At the end of the 3 Meter Diving, JCU's Stanton Kochanek won on the men's side with a score of 197.20. On the women's side, Jen Fowler of Hiram College won the 3 Meter Diving with a score of 185.65. JCU's Lauren Singley was second with 177.30 and Blue Streak Deanna Graber was third with a score of 177.20.
7:46 P.M. - Closing in at the end of the meet, 3 Meter Diving is up next. After a little scoring issue, we are now ready to start up once again.
7:41 P.M. - Santiago Morales has left his mark in University Heights, again winnning an event. This time, it was the Men's 500 Yard Freestyle, victorious with a time of 5:00.92. Nick Grady, a JCU sophomore, was in second place with 5:10.32.
7:35 P.M. - John Carroll's Heidi Benson stole the show in the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle, winning with a time of 5:34.65. Her teammate Liana Sved was second, with a time of 5:38.08.
7:28 P.M. - In the Men's 200 Yard Backstroke, Zach Wegman of Hiram won with a time of 2:05.54. It was another nailbiter though, with John Carroll's Blake Pinchot finishing second with a time of 2:05.59.
7:26 P.M. - Things are moving right along at the Johnson Natatorium, with the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke being the latest event. Samantha Mossman of John Carroll won, with a time of 2:15.11.
7:25 P.M. - In the Men's 100 Yard Freestyle, Hiram's Travis Subda won, with a final time of 48.84.
7:21 P.M. - JCU's women's swimming team continues to pull away from Hiram, with senior Andrea Kovacs winning the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 56.06. Fellow senior Heather Gilmour finished second, with a time of 57.07.
7:19 P.M. - With the Men's 200 Yard Butterfly completed, Santiago Morales has won yet another event this evening, finishing with a time of 2:02.65. Blue Streak Eric Davis finished second.
7:15 P.M. - The Women's 200 Yard Butterfly winner was JCU's Brittany Krauth, who had a time of 2:21.07. The next swimmer, Hiram's Amelia Dorschel, was over seven seconds behind Krauth.
7:09 P.M. - Now after diving, let's see the results. For the women's 1 meter diving, Hiram's Jen Fowler finished first, with a final score of 201.65. In second and third place were JCU's Lauren Singley and Deanna Graber. For men's 1 meter diving, JCU's Stanton Kochanek was first with a score of 206.15.
6:50 P.M. - After about 45 solid minutes of swimming, we have moved into the diving events this evening.
6:41 P.M. - Hiram College returned to winning in the Men's 200 Yard IM, with Travis Subda winning with a time of 2:07.37. Currently through this event, the men's team score is Hiram 46, John Carroll 41.
6:39 P.M. - Samantha Mossman continues the Blue Streaks' trend of winning. She won the Women's 200 Yard IM, with a time of 2:21.84. Through this event, JCU's women's team is leading in the team scoring, 47-40.
6:38 P.M. - Now JCU is on a roll. In the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle, Blue Streak freshman Alex Vershchagin beat his teammate David Perchinske with a time of 22.83 to Perchinske's 22.91.
6:36 P.M. - Andrea Kovacs, one of the senior leaders on the JCU women's swimming team, won the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 25.96.
6:35 P.M. - Hiram's Santiago Morales won the Men's 200 Yard Freestyle, with a time of 1:48.50. JCU's Eric Davis was second, with a time of 1:50.82
6:30 P.M. - A much shorter race this time around, with the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle. Hiram continues to just top the Blue Streaks, this time with Amy Kocka finishing first with a time of 2:05.27 to JCU's Liana Sved's time of 2:05.74. It doesn't get much closer than that!
6:27 P.M. - Another long race, another successful win for Hiram. This time, it was Zach Wegman finishing with a time of 1:12.05. Teammate Adam Roark was in second, with JCU freshman Alex Valigosky in third.
6:15 P.M. - The 1000 Yard Freestyle takes a long time to complete, but in the end, it was all worth it for Hiram College's Amelia Dorschel. She finished with a time of 11:33.69, right ahead of JCU's Heather Gilmour, who finished with a time of 11:37.18
6:03 P.M. - The men's 200 Yard Medley Relay proved to be successful once again for JCU, with the JCU Men's "A" Relay Team of Blake Pinchot, David Perchinske, Brandon Carey and Ryan Flaherty bringing home the win. Their time was 1:47.65.
6:00 P.M. - To start off the night we have the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay. Coming in first was the JCU Women's Relay "A" Team, with Samantha Mossman, Melissa Fillmore, Brittany Krauth and Heather Gilmour combining for a final time of 1:57.75. Their counterparts, JCU's "B" Relay Team, came in second place.
